Live an unforgetable Greek island experience

All year round, the numerous churches on the island, organize festivals, funded by local providers. A tradition that has remained unchanged through time, maintaining the faith and customs of the island. It also offers visitors a chance to delight in freshly cooked "patatato" and local wine, absolutely free of charge. Some festivity dates are:
Easter, May 8, Pentecost (50 days after Easter), July 1st, July 26th, August 6th, August 15th, Sept 8th, Sept 14th, Nov 8 , Nov 13th, Nov 21, Dec 26th...
On November 21st, the anniversary of the monastery of Virgin Mary Chozoviotissa, a local feast takes place, at which fish and barrel wine are offered. During the Easter week, the icon is taken around the whole island in a procession. Outside Langada, there is the monastery of the Holy Virgin "Panochoriani", which feasts on August 15th. At that time there takes place a local “Panygiri” at which the tastful "Patatato" is offered. There follows a feast of folklore with traditional music and instruments. On July 26th, there is the Religious feast of St. Paraskevi, with plenty of "Patatato"and local music and dancing.
